We are certain: Everyone living in Switzerland knows the Trauffer cows with their red or black spots. But the wooden toys of this family business are famous far beyond the borders of Switzerland and sought-after as souvenirs. The first wooden cow was carved by Alfred Trauffer, putting a smile on children’s faces. In 1938, the Trauffer cows went into mass production. These iconic cows are carved from Swiss wood and painted by hand, combining tradition and Swissness. Over the years, other wooden animals were added to the product range of this long-established company. We carry the Trauffer wooden animals as adorable refrigerator magnets to firmly hold your notes, photos and postcards. The cat, the Saint Bernard and the unicorn in pink or white are all hand-carved from Swiss wood and painted by hand, making each Trauffer wooden animal one of a kind.
