Fascinating uses for eyelet magnets

Magnets with eyelets are ideal for attaching objects with hooks or carabiners. This allows for mounting options that are, for example, popular in exhibition stand construction, advertising and signage, as well as metal construction. Our customers also like to use the practical eyelet magnets in the office and at home. You can find ideas for using magnetic eyelets in the following applications, for example:
  • The customer project Car Curtain shows an example of how you can attach a homemade curtain rod in your car, van, camper or motorhome with magnetic eyelets.
  • If you don’t want to have to bend down that often anymore, an eyelet magnet can be used to create a tool for easily picking up metal objects and other ferromagnetic items. This idea is shown in connection with ferromagnetic Petanque balls in the customer project Picking up Petanque Balls Made Easy.
  • Attach magnets with eyelets to steel shelves or walls treated with magnetic paint and use them to hang clothes hangers. You will have created another space-saving option of hanging your jackets and scarves with magnetic eyelets.
  • Magnets with eyelets are perfect counterparts for carabiners.

Features of eyelet magnets

Principle: The strong neodymium magnets are embedded in a steel pot. The steel pot increases the adhesive force of the magnet on direct contact with a thick iron surface. If there is no direct contact with the counterpart, or if the steel plate is thin, painted or rough, you won’t be able to put as much strain on magnetic eyelets.

Displacement force: The indicated adhesive force was measured perpendicular to the surface to which the eyelet magnet should stick. It takes a lot less strength to move the magnet sideways. Therefore, you won’t be able to put as much strain on a pot magnet if you use it on a wall as opposed to using it on the ceiling.

Rust: These magnetic eyelets are not rust-proof and therefore intended for dry indoor use.
