With these strong magnetic hooks, you can conveniently attach heavy clothing, household objects, etc. to ferromagnetic surfaces. The full adhesive force of these magnetic hooks unfolds at the bottom side of thick steel beams, when the weight is applied downwards. When attached to a wall, they can hold noticeably less weight (see FAQ about shear force).

The graph shows the maximum adhesive force in kg (y axis) at various distances in mm (x axis) between magnet and counterpart (steel plate).

Example: At a 2 mm distance between magnet and steel plate the maximum adhesive force is still approximately 5 kg.
