Description

This colourful magnetic tape is 7 mm wide and available in four different colours. It consists of strontium ferrite, the coloured front of the magnetic strip is laminated with PVC. The dark back of the tape is coated so it won’t stain and to protect it against abrasion. You can cut it to size with household scissors and label it with pencil, pen or whiteboard marker. The writing can be removed with alcohol, benzine or eraser, but some marks may remain. A waterproof felt tip marker is best suited for writing a permanent label on magnetic tape. You can find detailed information in our FAQ labelling. You can also print on magnetic tape using digital or screen-printing techniques. Please read our tips for printing on magnetic tapes.

Coloured magnetic tape is primarily intended for indoor applications. You could use it outdoors since it doesn’t rust, but over time it will become brittle and lose its colour due to sunlight exposure. So, if you decide on an outdoor application, expect to replace the coloured magnetic tape after a while. You can find additional information on our FAQ page about the characteristics of magnetic tapes.

The writable magnetic tape will be delivered in rolls of 1 metre each. If you order 3 metres in red, for instance, you will receive three rolls of 1 metre each.

Please note

Magnets should not be placed on magnetic tapes because they would demagnetise those tapes. Suitable surfaces for magnets are ferrous strips and metal strips. Other holding surfaces can be found under surfaces for magnets.

Coloured magnetic tapes are suitable for all sorts of labeling: For instance, for work scheduling on the whiteboard.
The small flux detector beautifully visualises the lamellar magnetisation. North and south poles alternate closely spaced. That leads to a higher adhesive force at direct contact with ferromagnetic surfaces.
Or attach impressive colourful labels to the storage shelves.
Or use colourful magnetic strips without writing, just as a colour-coded identification.
