We are definitely in the realm of the absurd here. This sphere is not really useful for anything in the strict sense of the word, but it is a lot of fun.
As with all large sphere magnets, the surface coating will not last forever, as the point-like contact areas are subjected to enormous forces. These magnetic spheres will be delivered individually packaged in a clear plastic tube.
Thanks to a slightly thicker coating, chrome-plated magnets are better protected against abrasion than nickel-plated magnets.
